Two versions of the same song V

Carole King wrote Will You Love Me Tommorrow with Gerry Goffin on 1960 and she sang it herself only on 1971’s album Tapestry, one of my favorite albuns.  This version is a live one from Carole King:

On his 1993’s album Taxi, Bryan Ferry covered this song.  The following version is also live by Bryan Ferry:

Mindelo canta comigo o Porto

Azulejos do Porto

Limoncello

One of my favorites alcohol drinks, made specially in Sorrento, Italy, of pure lemon rind, water, sugar and, of course, alcohol.  Today I just relaxed a bit reading everything about a thing in an hour, as I call.  It was the Limoncello day:

As a soundtrack, there’s no better than a traditional neapolitan version of Torna a Surriento written by Ernesto de Curtis and Giambattista de Curtis and sang (in this video) by Beniamino Gigli (and not Enrico Caruso):

Why IT moves me

The above video shows how quick changes are running nowadays in our lives.  There’s no better soundtrack than the Right Here, Right Now song from Fatboy Slim for that.  Exponential changes, feelings, emotions, communications… that’s why IT moves me!

Let it snow!

Neve de norte à sul de Portugal marca o início de 2009.  Desde que não hajam transtornos, acidentes e aldeias isoladas, let it snow! let is snow! let it snow!

Two versions of the same song IV

It was released on 1984 as the debut single of the Alphaville's first album Forever Young.  In the same year songs like Relax from Frankie Goes to Hollywood and People are People from Depeche Mode were also released, this song became a mark in the not only german, but european synthpop music from the 80's.

Another german band, Guano Apes, made a cover from Big in Japan, 16 years later:

Two versions of the same song I

Feel is a polish band, that on their first 2007 album decided to make a cover from the biggest hit from the duo The Beloved (Jon Marsh and his wife Helena), Sweet Harmony (unfortunately no video clip is available - just a static picture for the song):

Lyrics:

is it right or wrong / try to find a place / we can all belong? / be as one / try to get on by / if we unify? / we should really try... / all this time / spinning round and round / made the same mistakes / that we've always found / surely now / we could move along / make a better world? / no it can't be wrong / let's come together / right now / oh yeah / in sweet harmony / let's come together / right now / oh yeah / in sweet harmony / let's come together / right now / oh yeah / in sweet harmony / let's come together / right now
oh yeah time is running out  / let there be no doubt / we should sort things out / if we care / like we say we do / not just empty words / for a week or two / make the world / your priority / try to live your life / ecologically / play a part / in a greater scheme / try to live the dream / on a wider scene / let's come together / right now / oh yeah / in sweet harmony

Sweet Harmony, Conscience, The Beloved, 1993

The original version video:

Wow...  The blond girl with short hair is Tess Daly, a well known UK presenter.

The seed and the tree

Lyrics:

Come along with me / Down into the world of seeing / Come and you'll be free / Take the time to find the feeling / See everything on it's own / And you'll find you know the way / And you'll know the things you're shown / Owe everything to do the day / Come along and try / Looking into ways of giving / Maybe we will fly / Find a dream that we will live in / We'll look into the eyes of time / Past ages have turned to dust / And born somewhere on the line / The loving that grows with us / Come into the day / Feel the sunshine warmth around you / Sounds from far away / Music of the love that found you / The seed that you plant today / Tomorrow will be a tree / And living goes on this way / It's all part of you and me / [Chorus:] See the carpet of the sun / The green grass soft and sweet / Sands upon the shores of time / Of ocean mountains deep / Part of the world that you live in / You are the part that you're giving

Carpet of the Sun, Renaissance, 1973

I can't take my mind off you...  I can't take my mind... my mind... my mind... till I find somebody new".  Perfeito.  Amanhã é outro dia.
